Alzheimer's Support Group
Caregivers get together to share problems, concerns, frustrations as well as solutions they have in common that come along with everyday caregiving for a loved one.  many of these meetings include a speaker with expertise in a particular area of this disease.  Free respite is provided for the loved one with Alzheimer's Disease if pre-registered.
 
"Caring and Sharing" Loss Support
 If you are recovering from a recent loss, we offer caring support.  this is a time to share feelings and concerns in a confidential atmosphere.
 
"New Beginnings" Stroke Club
For stroke survivors and their family members who want to learn more about stroke and help stroke survivors.  A place for stroke survivors to make friends, socialize, gain realistic feed back, help others and find meaning to life.
 
"Visually Impaired Club"  
Those with visual impairments get together to discuss their daily struggles with their low vision and to share information and solutions to the problems they face.  Many of these meetings provide opthalmologists, service, providers as well as low vision iad representatives.  There are also field trips that may be of an educational nature and sometimes just for fun.

Counseling
Lynn Chockley, social worker, can help you deal with any senior issues you may need help with such as depression, grief, changes in lifestyle due to aging or illness. Just call for a one on one session with her to help you get your life back in order..
 
Medicare Pension Awareness
The Area Agency on Aging provides us with volunteers that are trained in Medicare & Medicaid, supplemental insurance, nursing home questions and how to protect your assets in regard to those issues..
 
Nutrition Counseling
Marji Dodge-Booth, our certified nutritionist is available by appointment to help you with your nutrition questions.
