Rochester Hills Library

The Outreach Branch in the Rewold Room

OPC hosts a branch of the Rochester Hills Public Library which is tailored to the needs of seniors. It has an excellent collection of both fiction and non-fiction titles, as well as reference materials, videos - both VCR and DVD, and audio books - both cassette and CD. There are comfortable chairs if you're just looking for a quiet place to sit and read.

The library also has a computer, provided by the 'Friends of the Library', which can be used to access the Rochester Hills Library's website. You can look up titles, reserve, renew, and even request that a book be purchased. If you request a book purchase, and if it is purchased, you will be first on the 'Hold' list.

You can request your selections be delivered to OPC for pickup, or to the Library's - drive up window. Every effort is made to make materials convenient and accessible.

Please note the 'New Books' displayed on the counter, to your right, as you enter the Library.

For those needing reading materials magnified, the Rochester Hills Library has provided a reader. Just turn it on, place the material on the tray and adjust magnification. Tell your visually impaired friends and family that this is available for them here at OPC.

A final consideration is that there is a generous late fee policy. Generally there are no late fees assessed for materials taken through the Rewold Library here at OPC. They forgive us for the occasional senior moment.

Volunteers staff the library and are ready to help, and, if you ask, make a recommendation or two.
