For Pickleball players of all skill levels! Novice, Intermediate, & Advanced ladders are available on Fridays. Three 10-week sessions are offered throughout the year. If you are new to the sport of Pickleball and have not previously participated in the Novice Ladder, you must complete a beginner lesson prior to the start of the ladder. Each week, all players will play three 15-point doubles games in a round robin format. Players will be placed in foursomes of similar skill level and will move up or down the ladder based on their winning percentage (the ratio of points won to total points possible). Weekly schedules will be published on the USA Pickleball Association website (www.usapa.org) on Wednesday of each week and sent via email by the ladder manager. Come join the OPC Swim Team! Swimmers of all abilities are welcome to join. No previous competition experience is necessary. Coach Jason Williams will teach you proper form and give you the opportunity to practice your skills through drills and other exercises. Joining the swim team will help you build your endurance and confidence so that you can compete at your full potential. The cost will include instruction and practices on the day(s) of your choosing. Two very different levels volleyball are played year round on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the OPC. Both the "serious" Tuesday A Division and the "social" Thursday B Division consist of four teams with ages that reach into the mid 70's. Games take place from 9:00AM - Noon. The season starts are in May and November and if you know how to bump, set and spike, you are welcome. Since volleyball is played with two teams of six players, neither of our leagues are considered "beginner" as skills for volleyball must be honed in order to prevent personal injuries and injuries to your fellow players. Come on out to see if your level matches one of our leagues and sign up for the next season.

Are you looking for a social event that includes exercise, competition, camaraderie, prizes, games, and a pasta and salad lunch? If you are, then spring time is bocce time! Spring bocce leagues for ages 50+, begin on Tuesday, April 27th, and Thursday, April 29th! The league will run for 8 weeks. Both leagues will begin at 10:00 A.M. After your three games of bocce…which costs $8, you will be able to enjoy a scrumptious salad and pasta buffet! This is optional of course…if you don’t feel like eating, you don’t have to pay the $6 for lunch. Perhaps you are a little intimidated to start playing right away. You can join our Thursday league, which is more of a beginner’s league, plus have some special instruction before you begin. The OPC offers four tables to play on. Players have adapted to their own modified game of 8-ball to help get more people playing at once. The game is played with partners on two teams, stripes and solids. Instead of both teams trying to knock in the 8-ball, the solids team must drop the 1-ball in the pre-designated side pocket and the stripes must drop the 15-ball in the pre-designated side pocket. Other than that, the game is virtually the same. New players are encouraged and taught how to play. There are a number of house cues that are available to use.
The Billiards room is open from 7 am – 8:30 pm Monday through Friday and 7 am – 11:30 am on Saturday.
