RESIDENT

Definition:  A resident is a person who lives in the City of Rochester, Rochester Hills or Oakland Twp. 

 

A resident of the three municipalities may participate in Health & Wellness and Leisure Travel at 50+ years of age and all other programs at 60+.

 

 

NON-RESIDENT POLICY

FEBRUARY 11, 2004

 AS ADOPTED BY THE OPC GOVERNING BOARD

 

Definition:  A Non-Resident is any person who does not reside in Rochester, Rochester Hills or Oakland Twp.

 

All Non-Resident participants must be 62 years of age to participate in any program at OPC that requires a fee, any class fee, program fee, pool fee, or drop-in activity fee.

 

The Annual Non-Residency fee is $175.00 per year which includes the cost of your membership card.  There is an additional charge of $25.00 per year for your spouse.

 

There are three exceptions to this policy.

 

MEALS:  Any persons, 60 years or older, can sign up for a site meal, suggested donation of $2.50.  Guests under 60 can sign up for a site meal, the cost is $3.50.

 

TRAVEL:  A Non-Resident does not have to pay the $175 Annual Fee to travel.  All other travel policies are effective for this program.

 

“OPEN TO THE PUBLIC” Special Events:  When a special activity is declared by OPC’s Director to be an “Open to the Public” event such as the Annual Signature Event, Holiday Time, or Performing Arts bi-annual productions, these events will be publicized as “Open to the Public” and no non-residency fee will be required for these special events.

 

All participants in OPC programs must comply with this Non-Residency Policy.
