The library also contains a personal computer provided by the "Friends of the Library" to allow seniors to check the Rochester Hills Public Library's Website to peruse the card catalog, place holds on books and perform any of the other functions allowed by the library site such as renewing books and doing other administrative tasks.  One such function is to request that the librarians consider purchasing a new book either for the OPC Branch or the Main Library by sending them an email.  They will respond and if the book is purchased they will put you on the hold list to be the first one to check it out.

You can also request that a book from the main library site be delivered to the OPC Branch for you to check out there or you can have the book delivered to the drive up window at the Main Library for pick up there.  Every effort is made to provide excellent reading materials for the use of the seniors at OPC.

The Rochester Hills Public Library has recently donated a machine to the "REWOLD LIBRARY",  for people who need materials enlarged for reading. Place the materials on a metal square, turn on the machine and read the very large print on the monitor. Tell your friend and family who are partially blind it's there for them.

Further, there are no fines for late returns:  Yes, they forgive us for forgetting occasionally!  Volunteers staff the library and provide friendly help and usually have a book or two to recommend!
